Pour célébrer la lever des Pléïades et le début de la période d’abondance, les associations Puna Reo Piha’e’ina et Fa’arua avec la direction du Pearl Resort de Mo’orea ont organisé et préparé une manifestation culturelle pour la population de Mo’orea et ceux de passage sur notre belle île. 

 

Jordan et ses amis de Faarua ont préparé les sports traditionnels alors que les responsables et enfants du Puna Reo ont proposé des ateliers ayant trait à la danse, aux percussions traditionnelles, à la confection de couronne de ‘auti, au jeu de ficelle…

 

En soirée, les invités ont pu apprécié la célébration du ‘ava et du feu, sans oublier les offrandes à nos tupuna.

Petits et grands ont fait partir leur “titiraina” sur l’eau avec énormément d’émotions dans l’espoir que la petite embarcation puisse faire le lien entre les générations passées, nous et les générations futures.

Pour l’heure, le comité organisateur souhaite bon vent à nos “titiraina” et donne rendez-vous à tous à l’année prochaine.

     PUNA REO PIHAENA discovered the ways and customs of Makemo and its inhabitants,thanks  to its holiday camp that welcomed around fifty children from Moorea and Makemo.
    Indeed after the holiday camp that was organised in Rurutu ,the children discovered how the life of  a kid from the Tuamotu Islands look like .They saw a simple and outstanding way of living that,unfortunately do not exist anymore in Moorea.An abundance of fish ,lot of ma'oa and pahua that were within reach ,people from Makemo with big heart…

    The group of coordinators from Makemo taught them how to fish  with a fishing line on the reef .Sparkling eyes,cry of joy and amazement for having caught so many fishes .A delicious meal during lunch time with fish and "ipo".What else would you need!
